My passion for costume design began at an early age. My Great-Aunt Ida owned and operated a tailoring shop in Los Angeles in 1930. My Nana sewed clothes for all 5 of her children. My mom is an artist and fashionista who allowed me to also express myself through creativity. I was exposed to theatre in Los Angeles and all the glamour that came along with it only to realize that was my calling in life.

I was born in Southern California to an artist Mom and an engineer Dad. Before I could walk, my Mom would put me in a laundry basket behind her as she sat and sewed all my fashionable outfits. I never left the house without my jewels, blue eye shadow, and a clutch. My mom tells this story of us shopping, I'm 5 at the time, and she says that I coordinated outfits for her to try on. Culottes may as well have been my first word.

Fast forward to the birth of my sister, eight years later. I suddenly had a life size doll to dress up and design for. I would put on fashion shows making Emily my model. I would make clothes for her and my dolls as best as I knew how. For my 15th birthday my Dad gifted me my first sewing machine. My technical skills began to grow.

When I learned of the University of Montana and their Costume Design & Technology degree program, I knew my next step would be applying and making my lifelong dream come true. I graduated with a Presidential Honor and Bachelors degree from the U. Throughout my educational years, I assisted under four strong women designers, was the Crafts Technician for Peter & the Star Catcher, costume designed a Black Box production, worked on costume for a national tour, and worked a consecutive 4 years in the University's costume shop under Paula Niccum.

Since graduating in 2018, I have worked for the Missoula Children's Theatre in the costume shop as a Cutter/Draper, costume designed a production of Charlotte's Web, I was the main seamstress for a private label leather goods company, costume designed the 2019 production of Rocky Horror Picture Show, assisted with costume for the production of A Year with Frog & Toad at Grandstreet Theatre, and currently work as an alterations specialist at a boutique downtown.

In the future I hope to work with Indigenous Nations and their forms of live performance and dress. I hope to also own a costume house where anyone can rent or own a fabulous costume fit for any occasion.
